Stone adds a rich feeling to any living space. This is particularly clear with this Edina basement remodel. We created a stone surround for this beautiful three sided gas fireplace which adds a center focal point of craftsmanship to this gorgeous living space. The goal was to create a family room that serves for entertaining, the detailed archway carries the stone theme around the entryway to the pool and workout room where you also find a stone surround wine cellar entrance.

Floor to Vaulted Ceiling Spectacular Fireplace, Chaska, MN

This gorgeous 17' high fireplace was a showstopper. Visible from the entryway, second floor open plan, kitchen and 3 season porch, this project came to life with Proline, Niagara Weatheredge stone, gas insert and hammered faceplate from All Seasons Fireplace and warm Dolomite Limestone hearth and mantle pieces from Twin City Brick in Savage, MN. The detail and accents are unique to this fireplace such as the Dolomite Limestone elipse mantle and the vertical feature above the fireplace opening. The homeowners wanted to have as much space as possible in their living room and so went with a flush design bordered by the two vertical windows. The sturdy hearth design gives the depth we look for in the floor to ceiling fireplaces, creating the dimension and an option for seating when entertaining. One of our favorite pieces.

This beautiful wine cellar stone surround was designed to accent this rustic Edina basement remodel and can be seen through the 3 sided stone fireplace with adjoining archway. The natural stone choice began with Hedberg's Orchard Blend with a custom blend unique to this project incorporated into the stone mix.

This 2' return design truly makes this fireplace a piece of art - the showpiece of the entry, living room, visible from kitchen, entryway, Lake Minnetonka. Just stunning.

In this lower level bar area stone went right over the concrete block framing the real wood burning fireplace. We kept original wood storage area. Example of a raised fireplace with flush hearth. with the basement bar, there wasn't any reason for additional seating and they wanted to save the space for entertaining, hence the flush 2/3 hearth.
Third and final fireplace.... next, the stone basement bar... we're waiting.
As the 3rd fireplace in this home, we opted to give this 6' return for some depth keeping with the style of the home and other 2 larger fireplaces. Albeit a very small office. For maximum use of space, we held the hearth flush to carpet with slate tile. Fireplace is seen from outside and master bedroom through adjoining office space.
